This image depicts the Isreali Air Force during the later phases of 1948 – 1949 Israeli war with the Arab States – they used any and all aircraft they could find including Spitfires, AT6s, Mosquitos, P-51 Mustangs, Milea Aerovan’s, Auster AOP 3’s. The Isrealis won the war and cemented their place in the world as a free state and a sanctuary for Jews from around the world.
