Description
This colorful abstract features the North American P-51 Mustang fighter/fighter-bomber. The Mustang was originally deveoloped in 1940 by North American Aviation for the British. The Brits originally wanted North American to build Curtiss P-40’s and P-46’s, however NAA designed proposed a clean-sheet fighter. The Mustang proved to be game changer during WWII. It could provde long range bomber escort duties and overcome most German fighters. The P-51 in all of it’s variants helped the allied forces achieve air superiority for the duration of the war. This painting shows a variety of Mustangs, drawings and details – look closely to find all of them!
