Description
This colorful abstract features the A-10 Thunderbolt II, a single seat, twin-turbofan, straight wing, subsonic attack aircraft. Loved by it’s pilots as well as the troops on the ground the affectionately named “Warthog” or “Hog” was designed to provide close air support for friendly ground troops by attacking armored vehicles, tanks and other enemy forces. It is the only production aircraft designed for this purpose. The high-power 30mm GAU-8 Rotary autocannon provides devastating striking power while substantial armor protects the pilot and airframe during it’s low level missions.
